This is the first piece of flair I ever received. My sorority big sis sent it to me about a year ago and inadvertently started an addiction that no one has been able to stop. I have since accumulated well over 1000 flair points and I've accumulated over 500 of my own. It's not like I have all the time in the world to dedicate to flair, though, so what is it about this facebook application that keeps me coming back for more? It's the opportunity to express myself in a new, quick and catchy way and to share that expression of myself with others. It's the opportunity to connect with others by sending them flair that reminds me of who they are as well. It's a way for me to capture in a quick statement or picture a deeply resounding truth about myself, how I view the world, or somehow mock the ridiculous nature of the world in which we live. So, why have I started this blog? Because while the Facebook App is quite fantastic in it's own right, each flairboard is limited to only displaying 56 pieces of flair and does not allow me to add any commentary on why I appreciate the flair or the memories it evokes, which is, in my opinion, half the fun of flair! So, this blog is my way of displaying my flair in a more personalized space, with room for a lengthier description of why I love the flair I love.
